it's nice to see that he "rides". I really like the part in the story that says "“You are lost in the woods and a storm is coming, who would you choose to lead you to safety?” Of all respondents polled, 22 percent felt Obama was the best choice, followed by 19 percent for Clinton and 18.5 percent for McCain." Funny, McCain being a former decorated A4 pilot and POW....sigh.
"President Bush came in last place with 12.1 percent, a full 4.7 points behind Homer Simpson. I’ve never seen Ol’ Georgie work a topo and a compass, but it can’t be a good sign when people choose to trust the route-finding skills of a fictional character — and a notoriously bumbling, animated one at that — over yours."
I bet there weren't to many people who want Dick Cheney to lead them out of the woods either.
Hey, thanks for reading my blog. I am just in such awe of how fucked up it is now. Everyday more and more, it gets worse - and it WILL take years to clean up the mess. I worry about it a lot.
"More troops" appears in almost every single quote from McCain. "More troops" = "More WAR" period. It is NOT a withdrawal strategy. We shouldn't have went into Iraq in the first place and we should not be there now. Obama wants to have the troops out of Iraq in 16mo (while maintaining a small strike force), and to redeploy 7,000 troops to Afghanistan. If McCain has his way, we could very well be looking at another Vietnam and another draft to go right along with it. I guess McCain would be right at home being a vet and POW from that war.
Mehul, unfortunately 'Somebody' is going to be elected whether or not you vote for 'Nobody'. I have a feeling and hope you're joking though.

My favorite part was:

Judi, I think we could be at a turning point, but it requires a change in course from the current administration.
Rick, I WILL compare the two. I did and you asked and looked at McCain's website. Take a look at this time line:
