TAG - Consider yourself warned!

I got tagged by Tri Eric not too long ago. This required me to post 5 random things about myself and to tag 5 other people. Then last week Cycling Phun up'd the ante and told me I had to man up and do a cool 1/2 dozen... After a long while of meaningful reflection (and procrastination), I came up with the following:
  1. I'm really a country boy at heart: grew up working on my uncles' dairy farm; took four years of Vo-Ag in high school; was an active 4-H & FFA member (and president).

  2. I've always been competitive after I began running track and cross country in junior high.

  3. I would consider myself a jack of all trades and understand that I'm really master of none (which is ok).

  4. I like a variety of music, but I'm a closet '80s fan and my favorite band is Def Leppard.

  5. I consider my Grandpa as the biggest influence in my life; he's given my family and me so much over the years that I can never thank him enough.

  6. (added for Phun) Sometimes I wish I was a politician. I like to think that it would be a meaningful way to leave a positive impact.

The 6 lucky tagees are:
  1. Brett

  2. Brooke

  3. Donny

  4. John

  5. Shawn

  6. Jim

I'm really a country boy at heart: grew up working on my uncles' dairy farm; took four years of Vo-Ag in high school; was an active 4-H & FFA member (and president). - Awesome, my favorite place I've been in a while was a friends dairy farm.

I've always been competitive after I began running track and cross country in junior high. - I've never been too competitive, I wish I were. It'd likely help my motivation.

I would consider myself a jack of all trades and understand that I'm really master of none (which is ok). - Ditto on this.

I like a variety of music, but I'm a closet '80s fan and my favorite band is Def Leppard. - 80's will always be a big part of my life as well, Leppard rocks! Photograph was, like, my favorite song growing up.

I consider my Grandpa as the biggest influence in my life; he's given my family and me so much over the years that I can never thank him enough. - That's cool. My Grandpa was a very large part of my upbringing, long story won't go into.

(added for Phun) Sometimes I wish I was a politician. I like to think that it would be a meaningful way to leave a positive impact. - Believe me as someone who has been involved on politics. You're far better off staying out and doing what you believe is right. Avoid all of the partisan bull sh__ and fight for what you believe in.
(that was likely the ONLY time you'll see me being political in the blogoshere, hope y'all enjoyed it :-P)

I've played your little gay-me, GB. You've shamed me into coming out of my log cabin and entering the world of Web 2.0.
Now I'm going back inside to send some telegraphs.
